FAQ (I just knew you were going to ask)
Q: What is Mentalism?
A: Mentalism is the ability to read body language, and to manipulate the subject subliminally through psychological suggestion.
Q: How much do you charge?
A: Because every show is different based on type of event, location, number of people in attendance, budget etc... please visit the contact page and provide as many event details as you can to ensure an accurate quote. Brian will usually get back to you within 24 hours.
Q: What can I expect to see at a show?
A: Brian relies heavily on audience participation during his show. He uses a number of fun "experiments" with people such as guessing a 2-digit number the person is merely thinking of, guessing the name of a relative, predicting the outcome of specific events, predicting a word circled by a volunteer from a magazine etc... Rest assured, at the end of it all, you will have experienced a unique show unlike any other.
Q: Are you "psychic?"
A: No way! What I do is strictly for fun entertainment purposes and never claim to have any psychic abilities. Anyone can learn these abilities if they put a lot of hard work into it.
Q: Are your shows appropriate for younger audiences? (Are you available for kids birthday parties?)
A: In order for kids to fully understand all elements of Brian's show, it is recommended that audience members be at least 8 years of age. Brian has performed for adults and children alike (from corporate events to daycare centres). He can tailor his show to the appropriate age level.
Q: Can I prevent you from reading specific thoughts?
A: Yes, the mind is a complex organ. And much the same as a person who would not be an ideal candidate for hypnosis (because of their unwillingness to open up verbally or non-verbally, consciously or unconsciously) if you aren't willing to meet me halfway, the mind keeps those thoughts buried deep within.
Q: Are you always bang on with your predictions?
A: No, but pretty close. I find this to be a great strength to what I do however. Because I'm treating what I do as fun experiments, if I fail, my audience can appreciate the fact that I'm not using any fake props or trickery involved. It makes it REAL and people relate to this a whole lot more than knowing they've been "fooled" by a magician.
